„A picture is worth a thousand words.“ This hundred-year-old saying is the main reasons why motorcycle and car manufacturers try to hide their future products as good as possible.
Customers are supposed to acquire the current products instead of waiting for their replacements, the manufacturers expect to keep the upper hand in terms of customer information. Therefor pictures of or hints at new products are unwelcome - and to prevent these from happening, development is usually being processed in all secrecy. And so are the mandatory test drives, that make sure the new bike or car model is reliable and sophisticated as soon as it reaches the dealers showrooms.
Getting these scoops anyway is my job.
My name is Bernhard Höhne and during 27 years in this field I accumulated experience in getting the impossible shot - as a photo journalist focusing on documenting new model developments for media outlets, 15 years of which as a full-time professional.
After starting out as an enthusiast in 1996, I upped my game to a semi-professional level in 2000. From then on I produced articles about future car models for a local newspaper, before working as a permanent freelancer for a well-known agency in the field.
In 2011 I shifted focus towards the motorcycle world and widened my field of expertise.
My photo and video material shows future products their manufacturers would rather keep top secret until their official presentation is due, which mostly leads to paparazzi-style pictures, taken at remote test tracks, racing circuits or lonely mountain roads.
For 12 years now, I am producing picture material of tomorrows bike models for international print and online publications and through these years my works have been published in well-known magazines and on multiple websites on all continents.
My workflow is optimised to offer the quickest delivery possible. When needed, I deliver publication-ready material within minutes after its production - in a quality ready for print- as well as online-production. This includes edited and keyworded photos and texts that can be used either directly in an article or as a source of information, to help the editor in charge with his or her work.  In some cases, video material for online-publication can be delivered as well.
This means that customers can have access to a full package of photos and a matching text, enabling them to publish new and exclusive material without further effort and in a short time, to provide their reader with well-founded articles as fast as possible.
Yours,
Bernhard
